Bonne Terre Police Patrolman Lane Burns was shot and killed in the line of duty on March 17, 2022 when he responded to a disturbance call and the suspect opened fire.
Patrolman Burns served ten years in law enforcement, and five of those years with the Bonne Terre Police Department. He left behind two children and a loving family.
