St. Louis Metropolitan Police Officer Harold Warnecke was shot and killed in the line of duty on December 15, 1972 by two robbery suspects outside of a grocery store.
Officer Warnecke served with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department for 27 years. He left behind his wife and two children.
