We would like to extend praise and congratulations to Officer Ernest Brockman, Jr. on his retirement. Officer Ernest Brockman is the son of Bridgeton Police Department Officer Ernest Brockman, Sr. who died in the line of duty on April 18, 1966.
Officer Ernest Brockman, Jr. led a 25-year career in public safety. He graduated from the St. Louis Police Academy in 1994, was a police officer for the Chesterfield Police Department from 1994 to 1999 and then began serving with the Des Peres Public Safety Department in June of 1999. In addition, Officer Brockman was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician in 1999 and graduated from the St. Louis Fire Academy in 2000 and was a department firearms instructor from 2012 to 2019.
Officer Ernest Brockman has continued a legacy of service inherited from his father and was provided the encouragement and strength from his mother, Sandra. We consider it an honor to know and to have served the Brockman family. Thank you for your service to our community, Officer Brockman.
