Most supporters know that our mission provides immediate and ongoing assistance to families of fallen public safety officers. The second part of our mission is to serve catastrophically injured public safety officers, which can often be new information to those that hear about BackStoppers. We believe it is our duty to stand by these heroes, honor their sacrifice and help them continue their journey.
We help catastrophically injured heroes by providing up to $150,000 directly to the family, providing medical, dental and vision insurance as needed, reimbursing for out-of-pocket medical expenses as needed, and covering tuition and educational costs from day care through university as needed. These heroes and their families are part of BackStoppers. It is an honor to serve them and recognize their heroism.
