Guns ‘N Hoses has made the largest donation in its 30-year history, raising $653,000 for The BackStoppers!  In all, Guns ‘N Hoses has raised a total $6.1 million since 1987.  We recognize this incredible support is because of a very dedicated team who put in a lot of hard work and give much of their time each fall.  We are very thankful for everyone on the Guns ‘N Hoses committee, every first responder who trains the long hours needed to participate in the fights, and all the sponsors of the event.  We’re so grateful for the crowd at Scottrade Center on Thanksgiving Eve year after year, and, especially, this past year for the 30th Anniversary.

These funds will provide assistance to the 81 families with 66 children we currently assist.  This donation will go a long way in helping us to care for the families of the fallen, helping to alleviate the burden of losing a loved one serving our community.  We provide roughly $1.5 million in assistance each year; eliminating debt, covering health care costs, assisting with tuition from day care through university, and more.  Our assistance is possible because of the great support of our caring community, and this year’s Guns ‘N Hoses donation is a fantastic example of this commitment to our mission.

Our most sincere thanks to every single person who made this possible.  Guns ‘N Hoses, we’re excited for what the 31st Annual Event has in store.  Thank you for 30th years of great support!
