On July 1, 2021, Chief Todd Werner made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. He left behind his wife and three adult sons.
Chief Werner was not only a dedicated Fire Chief, he was also an active member of his community.
Chief Werner dedicated over 25 years of his life to public service. He became Chief of the South Roxana Fire Department in 2013 and had previously served with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. In addition, Chief Werner was a member of the South Roxana Dad’s Club, the Madison County Emergency Management Association and was a Village Trustee for the Village of South Roxana.
Chief’s Werner’s life and his sacrifice will never be forgotten, and we consider it an honor to serve his family.
