The BackStoppers is now assisting the family of a St. Louis County Police Officer who was shot and killed in the line of duty on October 6, 2016 while responding to a call. A suspect opened fire on the officer upon his arrival on the scene.
The 33-year old officer served with the St. Louis County Police Department for 4 years and leaves behind his family. The family, friends, and co-workers of the fallen officer are in our thoughts and prayers during this immeasurably difficult time.
When a line of duty death occurs, The BackStoppers steps in with immediate assistance that is then ongoing. After immediately providing $5,000 to the family to be used in whatever way they need, we meet with the family of the fallen, eliminate their debt, and arrange to provide ongoing support for expenses such as health care, tuition, and more. The BackStoppers is always there. We’re able to offer life-long assistance to the families of the fallen because of the generous support of members and donors.
