On September 11, 1959, a group of individuals answered the call to support the survivors of fallen heroes. BackStoppers came to be as a direct response to the needs of families of fallen heroes. Sixty years have passed, and the mission of BackStoppers remains the same. We are dedicated to honoring the ultimate sacrifice of the fallen by serving those left behind.
BackStoppers has served over 160 families in our 60-year history. We provide life-altering assistance to the spouses and dependent children of the fallen. From medical to educational assistance, BackStoppers is there for the long journey ahead.

As we recognize our sixtieth anniversary, we continue to honor each of our fallen heroes. We will never forget. It is our hope that we never need to take on a new family, but in the aftermath of tragedy we will take on the responsibility to care for the loved ones of those that gave all to protect us.
