St. Louis Metropolitan Police Sergeant William Campbell was shot and killed in the line of duty on May 30, 1979 as he exited the police station by a man who had entered his patrol car.
Sergeant Campbell served with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department for 12 years. He left behind his wife and daughter.
