St. Louis Metropolitan Police Sergeant Harry Oebels was shot and killed in the line of duty on July 8, 1966 when he intervened in a robbery at a pharmacy.
Sergeant Oebels served with the St Louis Metropolitan Police Department for 18 years. He left behind his wife.
