St. Louis Metropolitan Patrolman Frank Dobler was shot and killed in the line of duty on December 2, 1972 by a cab driver he had instructed to move while directing traffic.
Patrolman Dobler served with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department for 29 years. He left behind his wife and two children.
