St. Louis Metropolitan Police Officer Nicholas Sloan was shot and killed in the line of duty on January 30, 2004 while conducting a narcotics investigation when he and his partner observed a drug transaction and approached a suspect who began a violent struggle.
Officer Sloan served with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department for three years. He left behind his son.
