Lieutenant Sarah McCarthy

St. Charles County Ambulance Lt. Sarah McCarthy died in the line of duty on December 9, 2025 as a result of a cardiac event suffered 18 days prior.
Lt. McCarthy served as a police dispatcher for the cities of Glendale, Kirkwood and Creve Coeur, and she served as a reserve firefighter with the Eureka Fire Protection District from 1999 to 2004. She served with the St. Charles County Ambulance District as a full-time paramedic since 2002. She left behind her husband and two daughters.
