The BackStoppers Giving Day, a 24 hour virtual day of giving set to take place on September 10th, is off to a strong start for early giving donations. There was a short term goal of reaching $500 before the official start of the Giving Day which would result in counting our first donation match to our total. This generous friend of BackStoppers who was the first to support our Giving Day was BackStoppers Board Member and Guns ‘N Hoses Tournament Director, Jack Martorelli.
Jack was always swift in supporting and spreading awareness of our mission in any way he could. Upon sending in his matching gift he enclosed a card where he shared, “Being on the BackStoppers Board of Directors and helping first responder families in need is something I am very proud and honored to take part of. Thank you for all you do!”
We cherish these words from Jack and we miss him deeply. His contributions to our mission will never be forgotten.
