St. Charles Firefighter Douglas Haase Sr. died in the line of duty on February 1, 2012 when he passed away unexpectedly at Station 2 after having been on multiple calls.
Firefighter Haase became a firefighter in 1978. He was an EMT/Paramedic with the Lincoln County Ambulance District, Chief of Troy & Rural Volunteer Fire Department, and served with the St. Charles Fire Department for 27 years. He left behind his wife and adult son.
