St. Louis Metropolitan Police Detective Stephen Strehl died in the line of duty on November 19, 1993 in a helicopter crash during drug surveillance with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration task force.
Detective Strehl served with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and was assigned to to a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Task Force. He left behind his wife and three sons.
