Crestwood Police Detective John Gallino was shot and killed in the line of duty on March 18, 1972 when he was identified as a police officer during a robbery.
Detective Gallino served with the Crestwood Police Department for three years and the Brentwood Police Department for six. He left behind his wife and three children.
