St. Charles County Deputy Sheriff Richard Henke died in the line of duty on February 4, 1971 when he was struck and killed by a driver while manning a road block.
Deputy Sheriff Henke served with the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department for 18 months. He left behind his wife and four-year old daughter.
