Affton Fire Chief Jerry Buehne was killed on March 10, 2005 when his vehicle was struck head-on by a suspect fleeing a felony.
Chief Buehne served with the Affton Fire Protection District for 43 years. He had been an instructor at the St. Louis County Fire Academy since its inception. He left behind his wife and two adult children, one of whom became a firefighter.
We honor and remember Chief Jerry Buehne and the ultimate sacrifice he made for our safety.
