The BackStoppers is now assisting the family of Officer Brian Pierce, Jr.  of the Brooklyn Police Department who died in the line of duty on August 4, 2021 after being fatally struck by a vehicle of a fleeing suspect.

We hold everyone who knew and loved Officer Brian Pierce, Jr. in our hearts and our deepest thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, the Brooklyn Police Department and everyone in the community whose lives he touched.

“Our community has been hit with a great loss. Officer Pierce answered the call to becoming a public servant and dedicated his life to protecting and serving his community. We will never forget his ultimate sacrifice and his memory will be honored forever.” -Chief Ron Battelle, BackStoppers Executive Director
