Brielle and Nora Sage’s Lemonade Stand raised $785 for The BackStoppers and $785 for Officer Mike Flamion for a grand total of $1,570!
When 7-year old Brielle and 5-year old Nora Sage decided they wanted to organize a lemonade stand, their mother, Cindy, listed five choices for donating the funds. Brielle asked if they could split what they raised between The BackStoppers and Officer Flamion, and they went to work.
The two girls took on every task – making signs, juicing lemons, shopping for supplies, and cleaning up during and after the fundraiser in addition to serving customers for four hours on a hot summer day. The Cottleville Fire Protection District was kind enough to stop by with a commercial fan and other supplies to help beat the heat, and many area first responders purchased lemonade throughout the day.
When Brielle and Nora Sage presented BackStoppers with their donation of $785, they were surprised with a big turnout from both the Ladue Police Department and the Ladue Fire Department. The girls had a blast sitting in the fire truck, turning on the lights, and wearing headsets to communicate with one another and Fire Chief Steven Lynn. They got to try out the hose and infrared camera, and even took a trip around the parking lot in the truck.
Thank you Brielle and Nora Sage for your hard work and generous support of our mission! Your donation will help us help families of fallen first responders. We also wish to thank everyone who supported the lemonade stand.
Thank you to both Chief Rich Wooten & the Ladue Police Department and Chief Steven Lynn, Asst. Chief Jeff Johnson, & the Ladue Fire Department for taking the time to show Brielle and Nora Sage how much their efforts are appreciated!Read More

When Roderick and Victoria and each of their siblings were tasked with deciding on a project to complete this summer, Roderick chose organizing a lemonade stand and donating the proceeds to BackStoppers. 7-year old Roderick and 4-year old Victoria worked the lemonade stand all morning and then afternoon long on a hot day earlier this week and raised $110.00!
We were lucky enough to meet Roderick and Victoria at our office where they presented us and officers with the Frontenac Police Department with their donation. The two impressed us with their concern for public servants and families of fallen first responders. Roderick and Victoria received gifts of goodie bags from the Frontenac Police Department, and Victoria spent the rest of her day talking excitedly about having met the police officers.

6-year old Ashtynn saw a YouTube video of a lemonade stand for charity and decided to do the same for BackStoppers. After sitting at her lemonade stand for six hours and selling every cup herself, Ashtynn had raised $1,105.05 for families of fallen first responders! Then, Ashtynn and her family visited local police and fire departments to drop off baskets full of snacks.
Many area firefighters and paramedics, including High Ridge Fire Chief Mike Arnhart and Capt. Ron Arnhart with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, came out to enjoy some refreshing lemonade on a hot day, and the High Ridge Fire Department made sure the stand was shaded under a big tent.
We were honored to meet Ashtynn at our office and receive one of her snack baskets as a gift. This inspiring young girl brought her proud parents and grandparents and spoke with KSDK NewsChannel 5‘s James Tuxbury about her fundraiser.
